PERFORMANCE –DRIVEN ARCHITECTURE
Drawing from solar, water and waste technologies as the fundamentals of innovative design

Projects with performance-driven design criteria incorporate a variety of technology and design principles in the pursuit of maximizing a buildings efficiency.  Each project has a goal of generating a positive environmental benefit - either through yielding a surplus of renewable energy, harvesting rainwater, treating waste on site and / or incorporating the latest in solar technologies for increased energy efficiency.  Gregory Kiss will review these principles in projects ranging from the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama, the Stillwell Avenue Terminal in Coney Island to the Harbin SongBei City hall in China.

SPEAKER:

GREGORY KISS,
