Speaker Biographies:

Anthony Amaro

As Vice-President of Business Development for Earth Protection Services, Inc. (EPSI), Mr. Amaro (Tony) is responsible for sales, product development, and financial functions. His primary duties are the oversight, management, and growth of all aspects of this growing environmentally responsible business, including developing customer-focused products and programs that deliver profitable business growth through superior customer service.

He served as Vice-President of Marketing for MagneTek Corporation's $400M Lighting Division from 1991 to 1996, handling sales to OEMs, distributors, exporters, and sign manufacturers and overseeing marketing, policy, and administration, pricing, customer service, advertising, and promotion. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice-President and General Manager of Sylvania Lighting Services, growing that nationwide service business 150% in only six years. Holding P&L responsibility for the nation's largest lighting service operation, he directed 11 managers with 800 associates in 35 offices.

David Bergman

Mr. Bergman is an architect, product designer and instructor. He is principal of David Bergman Architect, founder/designer of Fire & Water Lighting + Furniture and an instructor in sustainable design at Parsons. He is a NYS Registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional.

His award-winning lines of lighting incorporate both energy efficiency and materials awareness. He lectures on both design and business topics in sustainability. His industry involvement includes the boards of o2nyc, Designers Lighting Forum of New York and Furniture New York.
